There are no words

by Anna Bagiou 27.05.2010

There is something I would like to share with all young people and that is the lack of justice and common sense in this world. Greece is a very small country with 11 million people only and this country is in debt. The average salary was 1000 euro, although life in Greece costs a lot. The prices are the same as everywhere in Europe, we now have to pay our fuels one and a half euro per liter, but the salaries are much lower. Where do you see the justice? And instead of cutting out the unnessary costs, they reduce the basic pay! Who can live a month in a European country with 600 euro? Instead cutting out the cost for armament, they make people live in the verge of poverty. Why should a country like Greece have the third biggest war equipment per poll in the world? Who is going to attack Greece? Turkey? yeah, we' ve heard that before. If Greece could manage to come to terms with its neighbours, then it wouldn't need such a big investment of money in armament and the debt would have gone down!! But no one can think THAT plain anymore. At least not our politicians. I am afraid that people cannot live with fewer money than that. And with more taxes people will rise in revolt! At least I hope they do. Or else younger people will have to work till they become 127 years old to retire (as most of them work part-time for 4 hours, there are now full time jobs for us!) Yet there are many many guns for us to carry in case of a war.
