Articles / Search for the hero inside yourself:

The Heroic Imagination Project (HIP) is a nonprofit organization founded by Dr. Philip Zimbardo who is a famous social psychologist. He is best-known for his controversial Stanford Prison Experiment that highlighted the ease with which ordinary intelligent college students could cross the line between good and evil.
If you would like to learn more about everyday heroism, the bystander effect or conforming to group pressure, check out the multimedia section of the website.
You can get involved in the Heroic Imagination Project by taking the hero pledge, taking the hero challenge (an online mini-course) or by joining the HIP community on facebook and twitter.
On the HIP website, you can read more about how the organisation:
• Trains people to overcome the natural human tendency to watch and wait in moments of crisis.
• Teaches individuals how to stand up, speak out and act with moral courage when the situation demands.
• Provides young people with strategies to act with character and courage to resist bullying, peer pressure and indifference.
• Runs corporate programs that foster and reinforce cultures of integrity.
