Kurs Europa - German language course

The Europa-Kolleg Kassel e.V. is organizing a four-week intensive German language programme in Kassel, Germany.

The course combines language training with topics of the Council of Europe (i. e. European Community/Council of Europe; Human Rights and Human Rights Education; Intercultural Learning). Participants will also be introduced in the German youth working system and be given the oppurtunity to visit several institutions.

Date 2011: 24th July (arrival) until 21th August (departure)
Number of Participants: 26

Who can participate?

Young and motivated persons, who are active in youth organisations with basic knowledge of German

What is included?

German language training course
Monday to Friday; approx. 100 hours of instruction by experienced teachers; lessons with focus on speaking skills

Programme
Language instruction; Project groups; Work shops (Intercultural learning; Human rights; EU / CoE, ); Presentation of youth organisations; Visits in local youth organisations; Field trips; Host family accommodation; Certificate of attendance

What is not included?
Travel expenses
Expenses for local transport in Kassel (EURO 44,00)

Accommodation

Participants live with selected German host families in Kassel; Single rooms (either one or two participants per family); Half board from Monday to Friday (breakfast and dinner); Full board with the host family on weekends; During the week lunch in the canteen of the university

Seminar fees for invited participants

EURO 250,00 (includes lunch money, course materials and entries) to be transferred to the bank account of Europa-Kolleg until 16th of July.

Seminar costs

The German Ministry of Youth and Education covers all expenses related to the programme and accommodation in host families.
