Bridges to work for young people

by Stani Gajdosova 08.06.2011

Bridges to Work is a networking event to create better chances for young people that face obstacles to enter the labour market. The networking event is intended to provide space for programmes and initiatives aiming at increasing young people’s employability or entrepreneurship.

Bridges to work takes place in Antwerp, the European Youth Capital 2011, from 18 to 20 October 2011.
During the event, space will be given to find new inspiration, support and partners to lead young people to a job or to create a business of their own, especially those young people at disadvantage in society (inclusion groups).
This event is the outcome of three-year SALTO Inclusion work on youth un/employment, with the cooperation of many Youth in Action National Agencies. Bridges to Work is part of SALTO Inclusion’s strategy to combat youth unemployment and the result of the cooperation of several partners.

Bridges to Work will gather social workers involved in youth employment or entrepreneurship projects with unemployed young people, professional from specific programmes & structures for youth employability & entrepreneurship, experts, researchers, policy makers, as well as personalities in the field of (youth) employment.

Deadline to apply online: 1 August 2011
