About

Trafo is a portal for young people, with ideas that inspire.

The first postings were created by journalists trained as part of the Trafo project organized by EYCA – The European Youth Card Association. Now, it is open to everyone and you can talk about things YOU find important. Take a minute to register and create your profile to publish your story by uploading articles, videos or photographs. You can also contribute to Trafo by rating and commenting postings.

Trafo is a portal for young people, where you can find information that really matters. Often, important stories, news and events are displayed in a way that does not motivate you to read them, or in a language impossible to understand. Here on Trafo we speak your language, because it is young people - the portal visitors and Trafo journalists from the real world - who create the content.

From December 2009 until 31 March, 2010, there will be a competition, in which we are looking for the most creative postings in one of the three categories – Shout It Out, Do as I do, and How I got from A to B. To find out more please, read the “competition” section.

The Transforming Youth Information – Trafo 2.0 project was carried out with the financial support of the European Youth Foundation and with the support of the Youth In Action programme of the European Union. This competition is organized and the Trafo portal is maintained by the European Youth Card Association. EYCA is a network of 40 member organisations that issue the European Youth Card, which gives discounts on culture, travel and shopping up to the age of 30 (with exception of a few countries where it is still up to 26).
